I don't own a car, I'm what they call a utility cyclist. The vast majority of my travelling is done on a cargo bike, more often than not with two kids on board. I'm also overweight, have been most of my adult life, even when I was a cycle courier my nickname was "Fatboy". You would think that riding a bike all the time would make me skinny as a tent pole, but it doesn't work that way. We just finished a five-day loop on Europe's most popular cycling route, the circuit of Lake Constance. No great physical challenge, but highly recommended for safety, beauty and culture.
