New to Sydney

Posted by Darryl Reichelt on May 8, 2016 at 4:46pm 0 Comments

Hi Sydney Cyclist

I am new to Sydney and live in Killara.  I have just bought myself a road bike and am looking to join a club.  I have next to no experience in riding in a group but am reasonably fit (plenty of spin classes under my belt).  Can someone suggest a group that is close to my area that caters for new riders?

Thanks D

My Story so far (Episode 2)

Upon arriving in Australia, I settled in Sydney and set up in Erskineville. Now, this is a story all about how

My life got flipped-turned upside down

And I'd like to take a minute

Just sit right there

I'll tell you how I became the owner of a bike named Schwinn...

I started out as many do, riding a bmx-type kids bike in the suburbs. As my…

Beginner Cycling

Posted by Jos S on April 12, 2016 at 5:55pm 4 Comments

Hello I am new here. I am a very '50s' beginner cyclist. I can cycle - however I am terrified of everything - a slight speed or even the slightest gradient (downhill).

I would like to meet someone or a couple / few people who are in the similar position and happy to go cycling together to build confidence.

Is there anyone out there? We can help one another. Or is there anyone out there who will be exceedingly patient to ride along a beginner as myself?

I would love to…
