***Awaba MTB Park***
Race update, Friday 10am:
The race is postponed....again!
We are very sorry to inform you so late but we simply have no other option than to postpone the race again. Until yesterday the forecast looked like rain on Friday and showers on Saturday, but has changed significantly overnight to rain through until Sunday.
We want to give you a fun and safe race and in those conditions it won't be. We are as dissappointed as you are.
The new schedule looks as follows:
Round 1: Awaba, Easter Monday, April 1
Round 2: James Estate, April 20 (no change)
Round 3: Ourimbah, June 15 (as originally planned)
Rounds 4 and 5: no change
We would like to offer that all registrations will be automatically transferred to Round 1 but you can opt to change them to Round 2 only - please inform us via email if you want to do that: cycle@rockytrailentertainment.com
Thanks for your understanding, guys.

Race the MTB enduro series that rocks!
Race Australia's best mountain bike endurance riders and compete for four or seven hours. Race solo or in teams - the choice is yours! Experience a fantastic endurance race and that signature Rocky Trail event atmosphere.
Great for spectators to see the mountain bike racing action up close, the Shimano MTB GP is also hosting the official JetBlack NSW/ACT Bike Shop Trophy - customers and bike shop staff can ride for a designated bike shop and go into an additional ranking over the entire series. With kids races and music, the event centre will be pumping.
Comment by Jason Brown on February 12, 2013 at 1:40pm OK, so here's my question... Which loop is the event using? The big long one with the nasty hill in the middle (red), or the slightly less long and faster one (blue)?

Comment by Jason Brown on February 14, 2013 at 1:17pm Just got an email through - BIG loop. So Camelback hill is IN, and the slightly precarious ridge that follows after. That seals what I'll be doing on my final trail recce this weekend then. Might also change tyre choice slightly - for the flatter loop I might have run part-worns, for this one I'm putting on a fresh rear tyre.
A little rain would be nice to bed down the sand and dust, last weekend it was very very dry and I had some washouts in the corners. Not too much though ;-)
Comment by Jason Brown on February 14, 2013 at 1:18pm Oh, but apparently, only the B-line up the climb. Which I've never ridden. Memo to self: ride the b-line this weekend.
Comment by Juliane Wisata on February 19, 2013 at 9:19am Important race update:
We are currently monitoring a big and moody front that is supposed to hit the NSW east coast on Thursday or Friday. It has the potential to drop a lot of rain onto the track at Awaba. If there is only little rain we will race but we won't in trail destroying downpours. We know how much work goes into that track and won't race in coditions that will damage it.
If this front really hits we will most likely postpone the race by 1 week to Saturday, March 2. On Wednesday we should be able to make a call on it and will communicate it on our website, via facebook and send an email to all registrants.
Comment by Juliane Wisata on February 20, 2013 at 8:16am IMPORTANT race update:
The forecast hasn't changed and we will postpone the race by 1 week! The new date is Saturday March 2. It will be a lot safer for riders and more sustainable for the Awaba trails (and way more fun) to race a week later.
If you are already registered we will automatically transfer your entry and you don't need to do anything. If you can't make it to the new date please send us an email to cycle@rockytrailentertainment.com before this Tuesday and we can transfer your entry to Round 2.
This is the predicted rainfall for Saturday and while we hate moving dates around you and your drive train will thank us:
