Due to a prior engagement I will have to miss out. This time last week I had stepped into Salvo's and found a very dapper Giorgio Armani jacket, perfect I thought. And a further search revealed a more appropiate Tweed, had them dry cleaned n all. So if anyone falls short of a Tweed jacket for the ride, I have a spare for the day ................

Damn Susan,
I too am fully booked on that day. My son is off to Amsterdam to follow up a romantic encounter. Can't argue with that.
Would love to help spread the word though. Is your poster available somewhere as a high-res pdf? If so I could print and distribute a few.
all the best

Wish I could be there, planning a trip down shortly after though. I know it's gonna be a great day out.

Sorry you can't make it Andy, Michael and Damian, hope to see you all another time.

Michael if you head to the Tweed Ride group on the main page you can find a .pdf with the poster on it. Much appreciated if you can help spread the word.

what are the plans if it is wet? Riding a Pedersen in plus 4's in the rain wearing glasses without wet weather gear could be a challenge.

Still going ahead even if it rains, only if conditions are terrible will any change to current plans be made and that decision most likely won't be taken till the day.

On the glasses front I know you can get some kind of anti fog/ water repellent type products that help in the rain. Am not sure of brands etc but if you'd like to know more try starting a thread on the main discussion board am sure there will be people with knowledge of such products.

Susan not really perplexed when my glasses get wet but riding a bike with wet glasses is the last straw especially from the safety angle. Can handle my clothes getting damp Ditto the bike. MattS

Hi Matt,
that's why I was suggesting some alternatives to riding with just regular untreated glasses for safety. The treatments that can be applied certainly make riding with glasses a lot safer than just being rained on. If your riding in the wet a bit it's certainly a path looking into as they can improve what you can see in the wet.
