Article claiming that coding by aussies for Critical Mass and Reclaim the Street info sharing led to Twitter and Facebook etc, and all the current internet nastiness, if I’ve understood it correctly.

Activist collectives Reclaim the Street and Critical Mass regularly took over public spaces in Sydney during the 1990s

- well.... only if the public spaces were not actually 'public' and only for those with a vested interest of operating their private vehicles on public funded spaces excluding the rest of the 'public' 

Later on the article says they didn't expect the "trolling" and internet nastiness, that in itself is the same whereever there is anonymity and/or lack of accountability.
