This is out of my normal riding area and I was so amazed that I didn't have to warn the person behind me of glass for the whole length of this cycleway.

Probably all got washed away with the recent rains.... was there any flooding around here?

I went through the M2 underpass at Epping this morning, and was quite amused at the mattresses and other assorted debris positioned fairly high up on the walls of the creek/culvert.

Even the end of Sutherland Rd looked like it had been inundated.

Yeah it is. Did 87km in the saddle yesterday, and it was great!

and here is the view from the other side....

...which was taken the first time I rode this cycleway.

With the popularity of this cycleway , I'm surprised that it has not been widened, which your photo shows how narrow it is

You've got to be kidding me...

Someone expects cyclists to use THAT!

I'm guessing you haven't been there yet. Next time we go, your invited! So much of this cycleway is so good that its worth the effort to get there.

Not only use it, but get through without your feet touching the ground!

You must have better balance than me. It's feet-on-the-ground for me at the narrow end, and even then I have grazed the wall a couple of times.

the secret is not being to close to the person in front of you, so you can go at a steady pace towards the other end and looking where you want to go (in to the distance), not at the end of the handlebars. I rode through on my white bike, which has 67cm wide bars
