Cycling in Sydney Australia
Are you calling re-post? Entirely possible.
For the record: Many experienced urban fixed geared riders become so accustomed to using their leg muscles and body weight transfer to slow down that they never use rim or disk brakes. If they continue riding fixed and getting new bikes they simply end up having bikes with no brakes.
The problem occurs when people try and mimic such riders. Thats why the rules re: bikes needing brakes apply to everyone.
Monkey see monkey do.
And no i don't ride a fixed gear.
And this monkey does. And it took a lot of practice. And I'm even close to good, my legs get sore and tired, so those front and rear brakes are staying on my fixie. At least until I give in to the urge to constantly turn left.
I just need lessons in how to skid.
