Canberra international Airport to Yarralumla

I will be visiting Canberra next week and will need to make my way to Yarralumla, ACT from Canberra International Airport. I need some information on possible paths/ways, time, difficulty level and other tips to consider taking my Brompton with me.

Thanks, Boaz

It's easy and mostly flat and you will find a bike path for most of the way once you get out of the airport.  The path goes around the edge of Lake Burley Griffin and to get to Yarralumla, you have the choice of the longer scenic route around the end of the lake or you could cut across one of the main bridges and follow the other side of the lake.  Yarralumla is on the lake.

At a guess I would say it is 10km max.  A circumnavigation of the entire lake is about 14km.

Or, just get a Cabcharge from a friendly Parliamentarian.

I actually personally know a Parliamentarian (really) .What a great idea!

Na I think I'll ride

Lets see canberra in a weeks time. What time are you arriving? Early in the morning bring your winter gloves and windproof jacket. If its sunny and around past 10am forget the gloves.
