Cycling in Sydney Australia

Permalink Reply by Paul Martin on April 5, 2012 at 8:59am Yes, that would be the main problem.

Saw count down signals in Moscow. 3 minutes was the standard time for pedestrians to wait. Amazingly the drivers all stopped, which was just as well because to cross the 8 lane streets otherwise was impossible.
Could give this a trial at Murray St. Was watching from the pub on corner. Never seen so many glum, bored or annoyed faces waiting for the interminable traffic phases to get round to allowing peds to cross. i think it was only 2 minutes to wait but it seemed much longer. Cyclists got all of 6 seconds, peds slightly longer.

from 2007 apparently.
Don't worry, we are technologically not that far behind, just don't look at their Metropolitan Rapid Transit with RFID contactless ticketing system opened in 2004
Still have them, even have them on Phuket now.
Permalink Reply by Paul Martin on April 5, 2012 at 9:03am I think the point is that it is just a single unit and the array changes pattern & colour. Stacking three of them would defeat the purpose of the neat design.
