Does anyone use sites like Survey Monkey to collect information about cycling in their local area?
I've been thinking about creating some surveys to examine route preferences, and other demographics for cyclists around The Hills Shire.
One problem I can see is how to get the word out to the community that the survey is running.
No doubt the local papers would be able to offer some promotion.
Seeking responses from cycling forums like this is another option although probably not so representative of the infrequent, rusty chain recreational cyclists.
Has anyone had success collecting useful data through on-line surveys?
Maybe you could stand on a bike path and just stop cyclists as they past. That seems to be what shopping centre surveyers do.
Talking about the hills, I tried riding to my Aunty's place in Castle Hill end of Kellyville. What a saga getting there. Bike paths that lead nowhere and bike lanes that are so narow you almost get taken out.
Need to get my finger out and complain about that Victoria St section leading to Kellyville Woolies.
