Cyclist down on McCarrs Creek Rd, Terry Hills

It's in the manly daily already...

Cyclist injured on McCarrs Creek Rd

Terry Hills

I'm appealing for anyone who might have any actual news on this incident?
The news reporter didn't get much.

No witnesses so far and the victim is unconscious.

Thanks.

Significant head trauma, shoulder blade, five ribs, and collarbone. Remains unconscious (coma induced).

Sounds horrible, poor bugger.

Hi guys, Thanks for your concern. I was the cyclist. 9 broken ribs, collar bone fractures in 3 places and dislocated, scapula broken also T2 vertebra, brain bleed seems to have settled.
Still in pain but out of hospital. Visited by neural surgeon in hospital who had been checking out my CT scans told me to thank God I was alive, gives me a good angle in the morning when my back resists every movement:)
Re. Accident, no car involved, no recollection of cause. Cycling mate didn't see me go over. Bike had puncture in rear tyre.
I am walking 2km to cafe in Collaroy this morning, life is good.
Cheers, Michael
Good to see you are on the mend
Wow, that's quite a stack.

I'm interested to know which part of McCarr's Creek Road? Was it in Terrey Hills as reported, or in Ku-Ring-Gai?

O' dear. That's not a good road if you are a cyclist named Michael.

You know, I didn't even remember that I'd written that post. You truly are the raiN mAn ... actually I think I'll start calling you HAL. Although we all know how that ended.

we all know how that ended

You mean ... ? [shudder]:

HAL: I'm afraid. I'm afraid, Dave. Dave, my mind is going. I can feel it. I can feel it. My mind is going. There is no question about it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I can feel it. I'm a... fraid. Good afternoon, gentlemen. I am a HAL 9000 computer. I became operational at the H.A.L. plant in Urbana, Illinois on the 12th of January 1992. My instructor was Mr. Langley, and he taught me to sing a song. If you'd like to hear it I can sing it for you.

Dave Bowman: Yes, I'd like to hear it, HAL. Sing it for me.

HAL: It's called "Daisy."

[sings while slowing down]

HAL: Daisy, Daisy, give me your answer do. I'm half crazy all for the love of you. It won't be a stylish marriage, I can't afford a carriage. But you'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle built for two.

Interesting. Do you possess any bicycles built for two, NeiHAL?
