National Committee of Transport Engineering - 30 August - Parramatta

Getting bang for your buck: designing, funding and maximising the use of footpath and cycleway infrastructure.

Walking is part of nearly every trip. Both walking and cycling are relatively inexpensive to do and provide health, environmental and decongestion benefits. State and local transport agencies hope walking and cycling will help lower traffic congestion and create healthy, sustainable communities.

This session brings together a panel of 4 practitioners to address the strategy, funding, design and operations of walking and cycling infrastructure. Spaces are limited – register early to ensure a seat.

Thanks for letting us all know.

It is a shame they put it when everyone is all at work.

Someone can make it, I bet. Good to get a report on it.

I would love to go, but unfortunately I'm away that week...

I've registered to go along.

i'll take some notes Bob.

Excellent. Will be looking forward to seeing what they say. Dick van den Dool is a very pro bike sort of guy, as his name might suggest.

Thanks Jasesly the rep from UWS I think I may have met on a ride once in Bankstown I think he will be very supportive
