"Get a car mate"

this isn't new for any of us I am sure.  I had no decent come back at the time, maybe no comeback is the best option but I'd like to have said something witty or thought provoking.  Mind you people that make these comments can't be provoked into thought.

So what could I say back?

"ef you mate"

"think of me while your fillin ya tank"

"I'm keeping my money in Australia"

"what's it to you?"

all pretty lame, if you have something good let me know.

yesterday, same corner, young guy sees he waited for a damn bike, yells out "faaarrrrk".

I know he is a young guy because as I pulled into my driveway he was just pulling up in front of his place in his car, yes he lives opposite me.

"No, it's pronounced "fork" - and this one is made by Rock Shox"?

It happened again today! I was hung up in traffic on Oxford st and was really close to a SUV but he swerved just enough for me to get by and as I went passed I said thanks but he heard me wrong and in a very belligerent tone said what did you say? I said thanks for the gap but on the the other side of the road a taxi must have though we were having a go at each other and he very cleverly told me to get a car.

Well, just what do you think I said? not

'what and be fat like you" no.

'get a girl friend?' no.

'no thanks I don't want to contribute to the grid lock' no.

I said

wait for it

Yeah get a car!

yup totally screwed my lines!

Stupid! Stupid! Stupid!

However on another note I saw a half upright and half recumbent bike today! I haven't even heard of such a beast. Put a smile on my face it did and had a great day. I love riding! if only I could remember my lines, have a great weekend.
