Cycling in Sydney Australia
Hehehe made you look.
OK guys, trying something here (bear with me).
Rolling for Clover, the Centennial Park Ride and feedback submissions got made people take notice (and achieved some results). Kylie kicking off the campaign to the ridiculous ABC news anchors made them take notice and made a difference.
So..
Are there a couple of things where the numbers behind Sydney Cyclist could help ?
I'm after specific things that are actionable, we spend a lot of time here discussing the ills of the world, and there are groups that have high level, vague mission statements about advocacy, but what are some concrete things WE can do ?
If you know a group or project that has specific, defined things that people can do, post them here.
Serious answers please, there are a few ideas I have for the site, and this discussion will factor towards them a lot (I'll share what they are soon, I just want to get the thinking going).

I think about 600 riders turned up.
Would a weekday work better?
To make it successful there needs to be a strong sense of injustice to get people off their collective ar***s
Permalink Reply by David B on June 27, 2012 at 10:17am It would have to be a work day, the aim would be for a critical mass style collective, but not to block the roads or do anything that could be considered inflamatory. Meet at Martin Place, maybe collect a gold coin for the Amy Gillet Foundation, highlighting Rider Safety. We could call it the The 37/9000 Ride, for the riders killed or injured in Australia every year. The aim would be to highlight safety.
