woo, special bits
I'll try to make it.
This ride was really awesome.

we started a little late from Wahroonga and came towards town on the most zig zag way I cold ever perceive.
We did stop for mechanicals and flats and we eventually got to the SHB steps (late of course) where there was a small group waiting for us... where we meandered through the rocks taking a few cobblestones seriously and finding who can and who cant get that up that special laneway that was a challenge for everyone.
A few fell but all had a great time.

There where raodies, thrack heads, posers, and courier style.... everyone had a great time and everyone made it.

we ended up at Tempe Track where a lot of virgins had a go... Thanks for the great day.
+1. top day, really good ride and a great crew. such a good mix of people, was great to meet a lot of new faces and hit some hills with some good mates.

bring on the next one.
the variety of gear ratios was amazin.
Great ride,

Here's the route for those interested in knowing where we actually were.
I tell you what.. I did that great ride then I got home had a little play with the kids and had a shower...

sat down on my oldest kids bed.. woke up an hour and a bit later.. booked TV time at 10.10 to watch HELL OF THE NORTH.. I lasted all of perhaps 30 minutes befor the TV had a sleeping watcher.. so subliminally I missed who won... can someone help me out?

Also I thought the rocks was more exciting cobbles than a 5 star rating section , mmm we are so PRO..lol
Boonen won out on his own after some well timed attacks and a couple of crashes broke up the leading group of 6. I lasted until the last 30km before I went to sleep, which was where all the action happened.
i lasted til 11.30. guess i'll have to wait for the dvd to see all the action.
Yeah, I'm at work now (on a public holiday no less). Laneway hell and an early start today meant that there was no way I could stay awake.

The ride was great though, the best part was the diversity of the crowd (and the cobblestones).

Big thanks to the organisers for sheparding such a large bunch of riders through such a winding route.
Big thanks to the organising committee. Both me and the missus had an excellent day. Super fun!
Great to meet some new people that also love riding bikes.

oh, and I made it to about the 43km to go mark ( when Boonen made the break with about 5 others) before the ride and afternoon's beers caught up with me.,
