Permalink Reply by Ted on September 25, 2012 at 10:41am Great Gig - thank you Celia. I did enjoy the opportunity to give my old tradies' roadster an airing.
Looking for pics and posts from the ride.
Cheers,
Ted Reid.
Thank you for coming along Ted! I was overwhelmed by the positive response we had - totally undercatered the breakfast!!
I'll post some pictures soon when we gather them all together and I'll pick the best ones.....
Permalink Reply by Si on September 25, 2012 at 5:22pm Was going to ride our 1960s vintage tandem tricycle, alas a tube blew overnight and took the bead off the tyre with it. Try getting a 600Ax28 tyre tube at 09:00 on a Sunday (or anywhere not involving the internet for that matter). So, the Si clan coincidentally and at the last minute rode our most modern bicycles instead, much to the distress of my mum who thought she was going to be stoker and now had to ride her own bike - she was a little nervous about that as she hates riding in crowds and amongst peds (i.e. the beach shared path on a weekend). She ended up really enjoying it, as did we all. My 11 month old son missed his morning sleep though so we had to dash home from the end as he was... err... making this known rather loudly.
The surprisingly huge number of riders was a very welcome site. Looking forward to next year.

Dee Why Cycle Hub had 28" tyres in stock for my old roadster, albeit a couple of years ago. Larry, the proprietor is very helpful. http://deewhy.bikehub.com.au
