Hi,
I'm meeting up with a Québécois cycle tourist and said that I'd take him on a one or two day (road) ride somewhere around sydney. Does anyone have any recommendations of good rides?
-Thanks

At the risk of being accused of self-promotion...

The guide Bike Rides Around Sydney from Open Spaces Publishing may help. There are lots of one-day (or less) rides in the inner metro area -- the ones around the harbour are highly recommended -- and a few overnight jaunts further out which can include camping or hotel/motel accommodation. One is a ride from Campbelltown or Picton to Berry or Kiama via Southern Highlands and Kangaroo Valley, another from Gosford to Windsor via Spencer and Wisemans Ferry, and the third from Penrith to Liverpool via Bents Basin (camp only).

Hope this gives you some clues. --N
Thanks Neil, I'll be sure to check that out.
Annabel
Windsor to Kurrajong Heights via Ebeneser, Tizzana Rd, Sackville, Bull Ridge Rd and East Kurrajong Rd.

Sutherland or Waterfall to Wollongong via RNP, coast road, extend to Kiama or Nowra. Train back.

Or Waterfall to Bundeena, ferry to Cronulla.

Pymble/Turramurra to Mona Vale and Manly via Akuna Bay and Church Point.

Maybe train to Katoomba then downhill to Penrith.
