Spam spam spam spam

Hi all

A bunch of you may have gotten an email about a comment on your page. It was a spammer, and it's all deleted. (Thanks Neil for the heads up, I'd just gotten home from a morning ride and hadn't looked at the site properly yet).

My least favourite type of spammer is this type that leave comments for lots of people. Because we've had this in the past I usually manually approve every single member (which is why a lot of you may have had to wait a little while to sign up).

Because of the huge increase in signups over the last couple of days from all over the place I relaxed the controls a little. They are now unrelaxed and I'm back to approving manually.

Sorry if you got a comment on your page. I know from past experience that some of you consider this a massive violation of your privacy and online safety, but rest assured that nobody has your email address or anything like that, it's just the site sending you an alert.
