Stolen - Blue Schwinn Mountain Bike -Lewisham, Sydney

Last seen at Lewisham train station (Sydney) (Victoria Street side) at the Cityrail white metal pole fence. It was outside a store called Poco (artsy store). I left it there at 10.45am on Friday 10 February 2012. I returned from work at 1-1.30am Saturday morning to find it missing. There were no other bikes there either.
Description:
- Scwinn Mountain Bike (Second hand) - made 2000?
- Heavier stainless steel frame
- Thick blue, silver and white (?) frame
- Black seat
- No rubber on handle bars
- severe scrape on gears
- Clear plastic 'clown horn' on right side of handle bars
- Kryger bike light on right hand side of handle bars
- Scrapes and scratches on frame
- water bottle holder
- Rust on some screws, etc
- Tyres kinda flat
This bike was kindly donated to me by Redern Community Group Cycle Recycle as I am on a limited income. I dont beleieve it has much monetary value as it is an older stainless steel frame bike. It is my only form of transport and I miss it dearly. I work at night so it gets me home safely. If anyone has seen it or knows anything about it whereabouts please contact me on 0431 086 677. Hi Alexis,
I seem to remember a while ago Cityrail were confiscating bikes that were chained to their property. Did you ask at the station? They may have removed it from the fence and locked it in a storeroom somewhere. A bit of a long shot, but worth a try?

I was actually thinking the same thing.. as all the other bikes were gone too. I was going to go in Monday when they are open again to ask. If so, I think that is a horrible way to treat local cyclists. There is no bike rack on the Victoria Rd side of the station.. it seems rather mean. Of course, a better outsome than having it stolen of course!
