Does anyone know how to remove a seat post, that is stuck into the frame, without damaging the seat post? Any tips would be a great help.
Cheers

Maybe you can add what the material of the frame and the seatpost are to the best of your knowledge?
I'm sure there will be an irrelevant music clip or some useful advice shortly
Permalink Reply by Si on May 18, 2012 at 6:19am Might sound weird, but can you figure out how to soak it in vinegar overnight (cheapo homebrand white vinegar)? I forgot about this old diving trick and used it on a completely stuck/corroded window latch this weekend. Unfortunately I can't figure out how to actually do it to a stuck seatpost.

Permalink Reply by Neil Alexander on May 18, 2012 at 11:22am Well, I had this problem many years ago with a steel post stuck in a steel frame. I resorted to sticking the post in a vise and twisting and pulling and wrenching and destroying the seatpost and still didn't get it out.
So, I am not sure how useful that is (though it is certainly more useful than an irrelevant music clip) but, depending on how much you value the frame, it might be worth a try...
Ah if if only it was a thread about a stuck wheel skewer - fifty ways to ease your lever:
SBS You're an absolute classic, tell me did you ever do training in song writing?
I think you really have a hit there! Lols.
(I'm sure most of us were sitting there watchin Mikes posted Youtube clip listening to PS and the dulcit drummings technics of Steve Gadd, and reading your lyrics, come on you know you were :+P)
Apologies for going off topic....my only suggestion LBS it before it too late!
