Volunteering opportunities for Ride 2 Riverstone event on May 1st

A number of volunteering positions exist for the Ride 2 Riverstone event on Sunday May 1st.

These include:

- Route Marshals (most urgent requirement)

- Rest stop assistants

- Signing (putting directional and advisory signs up the day before the ride, and/or taking them down after the ride is completed).  This would required use of a car and/or bike trailer.

On the day volunteers will be supplied with a snack box while out on the route, and are entitled to a free sit-down lunch when returning to Riverstone.

Most volunteering duties will start around 6:30am, and be completed by around 1:30pm (some parts of the route will finish earlier).

This would be a great opportunity for non-riding partners or friends to be an integral part of the event while you're out participating.

We'd like to have the volunteers finalised by the end of March.

I'm sure that we could wangle a free entry to the ride for cyclists that put in a few hours work the day before helping to put up signs.

Just a reminder for those who are still considering volunteering....We need to have confirmed numbers by March 31st or else the event may not proceed.  (If we do reach the required numbers, additional after this date would be more than welcome).  Feel free to contact me at info@ride2riverstone.com.au, or contact the volunteer coordinator Wal Smith on 0417 202 571 or walter@audiovisualwarehouse.com.au.

For those who are torn between riding and volunteering, we are holding a pre-ride on April 17th - So you can ride then and volunteer on the day.
