Cycling in Sydney Australia
Hi - I'm coming in from Toronto for a week and would love to rent a decent road bike for four days. Nothing fancy required here. Does anyone have a backup bike that they can rent me? I can leave collateral and either pay you or offer to let you use my Basso Viper (classic steel winter bike) to you when you get to Toronto!
I will bring my own pedals (LOOK). Will be staying in the Mosman area of town.
Thanks!
Adriano

Permalink Reply by Bernard on February 1, 2011 at 2:50pm I have an old Shogun Team Issue (circa 1995) that you can borrow, nothing wrong with it, just doesn't have STI, the gear levers are on the frame. Shimano 600 gearset (7 speed). I'm 1.77cm tall
Also have a touring bike (tiagra gearset & drop bars) its a bit heavier but its only 5yrs old.
See this thread, pretty much identical in nature.
These guys can hire you something fairly basic for four days for about $100.
You could also try KOM Cyclery and Le Spit Cyclery which are in the area. Renegade Cycles and Bike Bug aren't too far away either. No idea if they rent out bikes, but they have reasonable high-end road bike lines and can probably point you in the right direction.

I just wanted to let you know that Livelo has a range of 2013 Cannondale Caad10s for hire from its Clarence Street Sydney location. The bikes can be rented by the hour or the day. Livelo is open sunrise to sunset 7 days. Prices start at $30.00 and include a wide range of pedal options and a free Kask helmet. Livelo organises group rides, personalised guided tours and supplies riders with Garmin 810 GPS units if they are riding solo. More info is available at www.livelo.com.au
