Cycling in Sydney Australia
Six hearty souls ventured out to ruin their coronary system.
Starting with a Big Mac (Macquarie Pass), they eagerly consumed it and washed down with some watery jam (a wet Jamberoo pass descent). Cautious descending brought the crew to the village of Jamberoo before heading to Kiama for coffee and cake (there may been an egg & bacon muffin in there as well).
North to Wollongong via Minnamurra & the former military emplacements at Hill 60 & the Breakwater Battery.
Kebabs at the beach descended (or more appropriately ascended) into a serve of KFC (Keira Full Climb). The climb to the lookout really not worth it today.
From the highs of Keira a quickish descent across the esCARPment to Windy Gully (unsurprising considering the day’s diet). Then back down to the coastal plain.
Through the remaining farmland west of Dapto onto Tullimbar/Albion Park/Oak Flats (no holes fortunately). A quick run down the highway to Shellharbour.
A coastal cruise to finish at the 7-Eleven and a choccy milk (thanks Grant) to top off a day of bad diet and good riding.
A great effort by all given the climbing and greasy conditions. Well done keeping it rubber side down ✊
