Cycling in Sydney Australia
Details here.
I've signed up for the 300 (Yay, no Hellcrows Rd in an easterly direction... Bugga, Mangrove Mtn and Brooklyn in the last 100km).
Anyone else riding?

7am start is very civilised.
The 300 looks like a good one. Which hill do you call Bugga? What time does the Kulnura store close?
The cue sheet has "CHECKPOINT: SACKVILLE - Sackville Ski Inn (on left)". Isn't that on the right heading north?
PS. I'd swap Hellcrows for bloody Mangrove Mtn any day.
Permalink Reply by Si on June 28, 2012 at 5:34pm Bugga = Any climb after 200km :). Yes, it is on the right. Mind you there is bugger all else there so it would be hard to miss. Me to re Mangrove... oh well :).
Permalink Reply by Michael S. (Boxhead) on June 28, 2012 at 5:38pm Btw - re Kulnura store closing time I found this here. Don't know how accurate it is but I guess you'll have a better after Saturday. At your pace you'll be through there well before 9pm even with a 7am start.

Permalink Reply by Si on June 28, 2012 at 5:46pm Maybe ask Philip? Based on 15km/h the checkpoint should be open until 22:40 ish.
Take a pen. AFAIK it is ok for riders to sign each other's cards if the nominated cp is unavailable, there are no atms, no gps etc. Will hopefully have gps evidence though, not least I'll hopefully be riding with someone too - probably Ron again. What's the point in cheating anyway?
Permalink Reply by Michael S. (Boxhead) on June 28, 2012 at 5:50pm Hey, where'd talk of cheating come from?
Good idea to ask Phillip. If I was to do the 300 I'd likely be coming through there on my own so would have to sign my own card. Doesn't sound right though.

PS. nice pic.
Permalink Reply by robflyte on June 28, 2012 at 6:17pm thanks, the stops for photos were excuses to rest.

Permalink Reply by robflyte on June 28, 2012 at 10:44pm now I am confident of completing most 200km rides and not to worried about being left behind I think I'll continue shooting and riding. The panorama would of been great with a rider coming into shot on the left or my bike more present on the left.
