Audax Riders

Audax rides are non-competitive long distance tours by bicycle, called "randonnees". The challenge of Audax is not in racing, but in riding at your own pace. Rides are open to all reasonably fit riders - non-Audax members are most welcome to join.

Cool, got him. 300km done in 14 hours, looking good.

Michael writes that he sat in some bunches and got into Nannup earlier than expected, more sleep.

Michael probably reaching Pemberton by 11:30, 442km. Good going.

Oh, 11 degrees and possibly 8kph tail breeze if the weather app tell the truth.

11:30am Sydney time arrival at Pemberton that is.

Looking at the history of points on Michael's SPOT page, looks like it may occasionally be sending a false position which is why it may have looked like he was off course yesterday but in fact was not.

He carries it in his jersey pocket which is not the ideal way to have it but mostly good enough.

Michael is at 725km point a bit after 9 this morning, looks to be in the front third of the field, clearly he has been secretly practising , must be those Dam Blue Hills rides. The front rider is 200km ahead of the second ! Looking at the average speeds it is instructive the difference of only one, two or three km/h can make. I have to get a little faster.

or sleep a little less between days of riding Bill. Michael has done a lot of riding this year, many back to back 200s and 300s. After this ride he will have achieved just under 5000km of Audax km this year. He has definitely put in the work.

Sarah Chaplin has been posting pictures up on Facebook and I've seen a few of Michael with food in hand.

anyone here doing a warmup for the challenging, epic or extreme this weekend? I think I'll be doing one. I looked at my time for the epic ride 2 years ago on my 17ishkg bike, pretty sure I can't do that on my lighter bike this year.

Where do you want to go, @robflyte?

considering one of these, http://www.audax.org.au/public/images/stories/regions/nsw/documents..., or just a lot of hills.
