Audax Riders

Audax rides are non-competitive long distance tours by bicycle, called "randonnees". The challenge of Audax is not in racing, but in riding at your own pace. Rides are open to all reasonably fit riders - non-Audax members are most welcome to join.

Mmmmaybe. A sleep in sounds good too. ;-)

the B&H duo may not be due to a recent 1000km ride.  I've got replacement tubes and CO2 for you Mr Boxhead incase my using all yours up last time is an excuse for you missing this ride.  Not planning on getting as many punctures this time, 40mm Schwalbe Dureme on the back now, those other tyres are sliced up quite nicley from the loopy ride, cuts and bulges.

Considered it, but we are flying to the (c)old country that night so Nicole gave me a funny look and I thought it best not press the point :).

Have fun on Hansford Pde (the real reason Boxhead is being coy, I'm sure :)).

Say hi to I&K from me.

enjoy your flight Si, I'll pass on the hi.

@Si if Hansford Pde is the road I'm thinking of then yes, I have been thinking about it (umm, yeah). But not thinking of avoiding it but more along the lines of imagining I can just stand on the pedals and dance up it like it's a false flat. Realistically that won't happen, won't even come close. But it's a nice dream.

I remember your advice on the last Pitts. Get the gears sorted before taking the left turn (or was it "before arriving at the left turn"). After that point it's too late.

PS. safe travels for you and your's.

I'm doing it. When I looked earlier in the week there we aboit 7 or 8 signed up.

I was thinking of doing it, but I've been sick all week, and another thing has come up - a project helping asylum seekers build their own bikes has its introductory session - so I'm looking like a non-starter until June most probably.

At pie in the sky, 135km of 206km and wondering if I should swap bikes.

I'd swap either of those smelly beasts for your beautiful steely, any day.
