Audax Riders

Audax rides are non-competitive long distance tours by bicycle, called "randonnees". The challenge of Audax is not in racing, but in riding at your own pace. Rides are open to all reasonably fit riders - non-Audax members are most welcome to join.

Looks like a high quality field on Saturday for river following including a whole bunch of still super fit PBP veterans

You should get a good draft then Rob ;)

I'm only dragging my sorry self along to be sociable :)

205 kms is a lot of being sociable, I generally run out after 10 or the first hill.

extra points for being sociable to the tail end riders, Andrew.

I'm just hoping I don't dilute this "high quality field" too much.

Rob, the last few rides that has been me.

Bill, I occasionally need to remind myself that I'm doing club rides, not just a crazy person riding in the middle of nowhere :)

Chris, in my book, anyone qualifying for PBP is high quality, extra points for actually starting, more for finishing and bonus points for scoring a "001" frame badge. Looks like intense competition for the tail end of the field position.

There was discussion on YACF about how long you were allowed to continue riding with your PBP frame badge on, if I ever get hold of one I don't think it will ever come off.
