Well, we had a lovely ride (or maybe i'm just delirious). Started at 0630 finished 1630. Bloody hot at Mangrove but otherwise, not too bad. Took a few longer breaks to handle the heat, which seemed to work. Uneventful traffic wise. Oh! And we got rained on just at the end. That's one down; eleven to go.

Sounds like a better day than yesterday. Rain ... bliss.

Are you up for the Daddy Gorges next weekend?

I was on the Hunter Valley Randoneer as well.  It was my first Audax ride and I suffered a lot in the heat.  But I finished the 208km!!

Good on you Tony. A tough day for your first audax ride.

Well done Tony, we must figure out who is who on these rides and say G'day.

The good news is that was one of the toughest 200s I've ever done. The heat really does sap your energy. They are usually much more pleasant.

Doing a 200km North Sydney permanent on January 8th 2012, probably The Ferry Long Way Round.  If I fail that I'll have the ride on the 22nd to do.

drove the family around the Ferry Long Way round route, they were bored and just a bit amazed anyone would want to ride for so long, wife got sick on St Albans Road, that will be a great stretch on the bike.  Galston Gorge as the final hill could be quite a challenge.  Anyone around to come on Jan 8?

I plan to do the Woy Woy ride on Friday. Then maybe the "Brag" ride mid-Jan.

Really want to ride on Friday, but work is not optional. Next one is the Ferry long way round. Should be a goodie.

@robflyte I'm thinking about joining you on the Ferry Long Way Round on the 8th. What's the deal with a permanent? Do I need to email Howard/Bec to say I'm going to do it?
