This is our Mark 1 market trailer, you can see it around Newtown on Weekends, a mark 2 trailer has been requested by a local and is on the way! If anyone wants some help or ideas to build their own trailer i am happy to pass on my experience from trial and tribulation.

My only suggestion would be to move the wheels forward slightly so as to place the weight more over the trailer's wheels instead of loading up the rear wheel of your bicycle.

Yes, that is true, I notice every creak and groan waiting for the trailer axle to break one day but its been over three years and no sign of it breaking! The axle location was due to the strongest part of the frame at the corner, what has broken is the yoke due to metal fatigue!

Hey finally got around to joining SC and the cargo cult. Cargo bike seem very territorial. I never see another in my territory.

Welcome Mark/Marek.
What's your ride? Is it a Yuba Mundo?
Comment by Mark on August 31, 2011 at 5:04pm
Yep Yuba Mundo (built up from frame) with elation electric kit keller74.wordpress.com. Had it on the road for about 18 mths and regularly carry 8yo and 5yo (plus school bags, musical instruments etc etc)

I have a Yuba too, alas no electric kit.  I cart around a 7 and 9 year old, mostly dressed in pink ballet clothes.  I get a lot of funny looks.e

I too get ALOT of looks but my wife when riding behind me says I miss half of the looks and stares as I go past. As least I avoid the pink tutus, I've got boys!
