I have a Yuba too, alas no electric kit.  I cart around a 7 and 9 year old, mostly dressed in pink ballet clothes.  I get a lot of funny looks.e

I too get ALOT of looks but my wife when riding behind me says I miss half of the looks and stares as I go past. As least I avoid the pink tutus, I've got boys!

I went for a ride with my sons on the weekend and they were betting on how many stares I would get riding the long tail, I think they lost interest in counting after a while.

Big Dummy is the most useful best bike I've ever ridden.

My 5 yr old threw a big tantrum a few months ago because nobody made a fuss about his bike and he was sick of all the attention my xtracycle got!  The boys tell me all the time while we're riding that someone just pointed/waved/exclaimed over our set up.

Yuba Mundo now has a factory fit electric option. They chose the eZee kit which we were chuffed about. Cargocycles in Melbourne has it listed here.

That is a nice neat system. I think the factory option is 500watt (I cant find the rating on the yuba site) so without modification, no good for Aussie riders who want to stay legal. As well as my Mundo I have another hub motor bike which is fine, but for a cargo bike the through the gears eLation seems much more efficient. It really makes the most of the nominal 200watt limit.

Adults might wonder if we're crazy but kids just love it. When I take pick the kids up from school, the others all want a ride. I was in a bike shop with the Yuba a while back.  A guy with a $5k roadbike came in behind me, not sure what to make of it.  Then his kid said, "Dad, that's the coolest bike ever." My kids love singing when we ride along.  I like to think that makes every ones day a bit brighter, even if I am illegally riding on the footpath.

my kids sing too, often different songs!  They also spot shopping trolley's and green cars, competing with each other to shout it out first upon seeing one.

when other riders say hello they are looking at the bike, makes me feel left out, why does the Big Dummy get a hello and not me? :o(  lol
