The Watershed Bike Library contains a fleet of specialist cargo bikes and trailers to allow cyclists to carry things that might otherwise require a car - from shopping, to kids, household items and more.

Comment by hartleymartin on April 8, 2010 at 11:16pm: I don't own a cargo-specific bicycle, but you'd be surprised at what I've managed to haul in my panniers, strapped to the top of my rear rack or piled into my front basket.

Oh, I forgot! I DO own an old Australia-post bicycle. The old type with the porteur style front rack. The frame is too small for me, so it is for sale if anyone is interested.

For reasons to complex to be explained here I ended up leaving the baby with her but taking her bike with me. I got a few strange looks on the way home!

it is the same as the ones used by the Bike Couriers of Sydney.
this one is a White and Green BikeWise version .

the Child seat is a very special Turkish Saddle bag style cushion wrapped in an old cycle jersey.
My son fell off 2 times in the past and now even if I skid sideways he is ROCK SOLID on it. He loves a bit of a JUMP too.

We ride on paths and roads. People stare and say "ohhh , ahhhh, weeee" I take him to school on it most mornings and sometimes with my 2 year old in a backpack (designed for such task) as well.

My son (Axel) loves the Truck Bike. it is great for strength work too.

I rode the Cabby exclusively for the first six months I had it, then when I got back on the singlespeed I was amazed at how much more strength and endurance I had in the legs!
