My coffee machine came back to me yesterday, we had an emotional reunion this morning!

Please consider that the end of the ride is too far away. Naomi with her mid ride coffee sounds better. I have another option.

My bike has a cup holder. Twice I have experienced the misfortune of going over the gutter too fast, the first time the lid came off and I had to wait till I got to work before getting a coffee. The second time I was lucky, I only lost a drop or 2 of the precious liquid.

Post-ride coffee? Mid-ride coffee is the best! Gives me the power and happiness for hills or the motivation to get the rest of the way to work on a Monday morning:)

Here are my favourites for a great piccolo:

Newtown:

Pastizzi cafe - when made by the owner, Numero uno coffee and so much yummy food
Cafe ism - Toby's Estate & great work commute stop off on Wilson St)
Campos
Allegro Cafe
Buzz Bar
Varga Bar
Erskineville:
Shenkin - great barista and Ducale coffee

Alexandria
Crave Coffee Roastery & Espresso Bar - great blend of Columbian and lots of caramel Australian beans.

Annandale:
The Gallery Cafe - Campos coffee

City:
Velluto Nero (Clarence St) - Easter show winning goodness
Hernandez (Kings Cross) - its about the choice of beans
Hyde Park Barracks Cafe for when I am at work

Dank St on South Dowling St:

Mayan cafe - its just amazing single origin beans but all about the espresso. Chile breakfast tortillas and caffeine = power day at work!

Cronulla
Grind cafe - so smooth and has coffee you have never heard of. Maraccino (shot of espresso over a shot of melted belgian chocolate) was just bliss after riding in the rain!

All Press to me is a tad bitter.
Aroma is nice
Lavatsa is a tad weak but easy to drink.
Vittoria is plain but neither to dark or to weak..

I like to drink 3/4 flat white or black (all with 2 sugars).

Bondi Junction Curios Cafe (near SuperCheap on bronte rd).

Clovelly , Green Mango (top of the hill Clovelly Rd by the pedestrian crossing)

Waterloo Danks st cafe is good if you ,like to pay 34 bucks a coffee.

IN the city
The Palms,Farrar Pl. (, the coffee hut just by Bent/spring st where the bike couriers go.. keep an eye out for our pal Erik Roosendale).
Tutti Cafe , York st (near erskine and TAB).

I get to work, park my bike in a quiet corner of the office, grab the plunger off my desk, head to the kitchen, and make myself a long black with espresso coffee. Then I settle in for a period of reading bike blogs while drinking my long black. Mmm, post-ride coffee!

Some time later I start actually working.
