Al: Since when was Adri part of Poppy's? Pretty sure it was Simon.

Anyway, Bec who used to work at Poppy's now has Shortlist in Redfern which is fantastic to get to by bike, though there isn't the best parking around there.

Also, when in the city and heading over the harbour bridge via Clarence St, Pure Grind is a great hole in the wall cafe with moderate bike parking available and fabulous coffee.

Campos have opened a new cafe in Fountain St Alexandria, just across the road from Dan Murphys. Coffee is the same or better than in their Newtown shop (for my taste, nothing in Sydney beats it), and the ambience & bicycle facilities are far superior. A wall across the alleyway next to the cafe has 10 bike rings fixed to it.

Definately Rosies, Galston for me: corner Arcadia & Galston Roads. You can lean your bike virtually next to your table and take leisurely sips whilst watching the buffed and righteous fly past doing the 'Two (or Three) Gorges' route...

Inner West riders - another good post-ride coffee stop in rozelle is Hangry, next to Bendigo Bank, decent coffee, great breakfasts too, and plenty of space to leave the bike next to the outdoor/street-front seating area

@Hannah: errr... yes, Adri started up Poppies and sold it pretty quick as he did with most of his ventures in the area, you need to go back a lot further than you're referring to - it has been around for a long time, you should ref http://balmain.villagevoice.com.au/default.aspx?iid=33964&start...

I stop sometimes at Bourke St Bakery, usually if I am looping for a while at C Park in the morning and want some lunch. But question is, does anyone know if there are plans to put a bike rack on the newly widened area of path outside the cafe?

+1 for Paper Cup. Try the cold drip available at the end of the week. Sweet like dessert wine.

FYI I just added groundsroasters.com to www.openstreetmap.org. It's an outstanding cafe, one of the best coffee - try the cold-filtered drip fi you think you're a connoisseur. Food is very good too. Best of all - the rustic paved garden area can accommodate 30++ cyclists with their bikes!
