Geeks on bikes manifesto

Do you like technology? Do you work in technology? Are you a gamer? A social networker? A PC builder? An IT student? Or are you just a geek for some other reason?

If any of these questions elicits a positive answer from you, then Geeks on Bikes is for you. It's the place where you can discuss overclocking ... or overtaking. Google ... or gear ratios (or Google gears). Databases ... or derailleurs. Cisco ... or Colnago. WiFi ... or wheels.

You get the drift. Let's do it!

I do games. I do sites and I like bikes the most. In the past I have been a purchaser for an IT company, built many systems and been into over clocking when it was an art form. More recently I was a teacher of Multimedia and IT to adults at a private college. I like online games, I prefer new format D&D but do not roleplay. I hate WoW. I spend way to much time pixel crunching.. lets go for a ride instead

Hey geeks - check out the jersey we've had made for the Gong Ride, thanks to sponsors DiData and F-Secure. We've got 25 jerseys and eight on the team already. First come, best dressed!

Hi. I woke up one morning and realised I was a geek but was cool with it. We really will take over the world one day.

I do my best to remove the gap between geekery and the real world. As I tell my customers, "I was a real person before I was a techo."

Gidday. I work in IT, in the EFTPOS market, selling, fixing, bugging code for ATM and POS transactions. Working in Nth Syd, trying to re-arrange my work schedule to commute from Redfern. Tones

Big fan of the Gong '09 gear. Doing this trip in '06 was one of the toughest things I have ever done, so looking forward to next time. Need to do a few long trips before then though!

Hello I'm a geek too. Not in IT or gaming, but engineering. I read too much and get stuck in wiki vortices a lot. My friends are often embarrassed by me entering nerd mode in public. Is this a support group?

I guess I qualify too. I have an electrical engineering degree and a post grad diploma in computer science and now I work for a group doing quantum computing research. I am definitely not a gamer though. Too busy riding (I hope). Is that geekier enough to join?
