Radio National will broadcast an interview I did with Susan Carland on their show "Assumptions" on Sunday 28th June, 3.30pm.  The podcast is available at http://www.abc.net.au/radionational/programs/showcase/features/assu...  My interview starts at 14min40sec.

The show has already caused a bit of a kerfuffle, with complaints from "safety experts" to the ABC, and Media Watch picking it up with a segment worthy of tabloid television.  The gist of it was "Hand picked experts say Mr. Todd was wrong, and without looking at the evidence he has sent to us, we agree." You can find a transcript of that one, with quite good comments following, at http://www.abc.net.au/mediawatch/transcripts/s4259939.htm

The ABC complains to the ABC of biased reporting - it could only happen in Australia if bicycle helmets were involved.

“Hand picked experts say Mr. Todd was wrong, and without looking at the evidence he has sent to us, we agree."

That sums up the “thinking” of helmet law supporters.

This is the tyranny of the idiots, who think that somehow they have a right to impose their beliefs on others through legislation.
