Might have to spring off to a less daunting group than this one.

Just as well Bennelong isn't here to hasten our obfuscation to oblivion, now it can be indefinitely extended to the delight of all.

Garry,

I trust the tea will be a malty Assam TGFOP? If so, I would prefer 2nd flush.

Woohoo! Now you are talking [lower case] bb.

Pedanticism about tea. You could start a Tea Appreciation Society on this site to rival outdo that moribund Coffee one.

The tea will be the amazing secret blend home made chai from Alfalfa House at Enmore as discovered on last year's Chocolate Ride. At $88 per kilo it easily out-snobs the Assam.

That is soo funny, I just had to respond (I am in the reception area of our hotel in London, having not slept in well over 24 hours. The plane landed in London at 6.30 am London time, but we are waiting around for the room to be cleaned so we can have an early check-in).

But, what is this I read??! Tea pedantry! I didn't realise it was common to those of us who are pedantic about everything else. In our cupboard (back in Sydney) we have about 20 different varieties of tea from which to choose (no tea bags please without an excuse in writing). We have a large assortment of infusing apparati and we are also particular about which cup from which we prefer to drink.

Ooh room is ready. Off to have a shower (or bath if availble), a snooze then an afternoon stroll around Hyde Park. First impressions of London (just walking from Paddington Station to Hotel) was SO MUCH BIKE BLING. I am going to have to restrain myself from taking too many photos of bikes and not enough of other sites.

MB qualifies for  free cup.

Will that be in a Royal Albert or Wedgewood?

Can victims of pedantry join?
Comment by Neil Alexander on June 14, 2011 at 9:07am
Yes, welcome Cate. As a joining fee, please explain where, how and by whom you have been victimised. Note that this will not guarantee further "correction". ;-)

I knew pedanticism about coffee couldn't be far away. I wonder if these baristas are cyclists as well. If so, they could make a great contribution to this group, I am sure.

before NA gets me

Why NA, Gw?

I may be a resident pedant but there are currently 11 other members of this group qualified to give "correction".

Perhaps they are not pulling their weight?!?!?!
