LBUG is looking for new members. We do rides most Sundays and also weekend tours and longer, plus advocacy work around the Inner West. If interested check our website at lbug.org.au or come down to the Bakehouse Cafe in Moore St most Sundays at about 8am (check rides calendar).

Magpie alert. Hanging around the Newtown (the Hub) end of Railway Terrace. I came home via the actual painted cycle route and had no troubles. Won't be going near the train line again for a while!

Do you mean Bedford St?

Yep, sorry. I just assume that any road along the tracks is called Railway something or other. Except the ones near the stations, they're all called Station something or other ;-)

Another magpie for those of you taking the sneaky back way to Centennial- at the roundabout of Epsom and link rd in Zetland just before you go under the ED.

Re Magpie at Link Rd... I got done by it (probably about the same time as you). First I knew of it was went it brushed across my helmet (whole body hit). Then woosh it hit me again. My heart rate went from a leisurely 120 to 150!!!
