Welcome new members! Sorry I've been inactive, I actually moved to Victoria for a few months. I'm back now anyway, I'm currently looking for a second-hand bike and then i'll hopefully get some regular riding started, although my fitness is low at the moment and it'll take me a few weeks to get up to speed!!

Hello again! I have now (finally) bought myself a bike, so give me a month or so to get my fitness back up and I'll look forward to a few long rides in Autumn!

i might be better posting this in the Touring Group, but am planning a Yass to Gundagai, 4 day ride, March 19-22. and a Bourke to Broken Hill , 10 or 11 days, July 23-Aug 2. There a few of us going so far but room for a few more if anyone interested. Can supply further info or join up to leichhardtbug.ning.com and look under Groups then LBUG Tourers.

Thanks Bob! Not for me, I can't get that much time off work. I'm hoping to organise a trip down to Woollongong at some point, staying there for Saturday night, but my fitness isn't up to it just yet!

I know, I know, it's taken me months to get organised and plan something. And I've just missed the Sydney to Gong, and the Spring Cycle. But anyway, I'm going to go for it. I am going to ride to Melbourne, from Sydney. Eventually. First training exercise is riding to Wollongong sometime soonish - probably between Christmas and New Year. I might even get some sponsorship together for learninglinks. Would anyone like to join me, either for company or to also be sponsored? Obviously, the more the merrier - let me know

Mike

PS, at my current fitness levels I reckon the average speed of my gong ride will be around 20km/hr, although I have no idea of the geography of the route - I'm assuming as many ups and downs!
