I did a similar run that morning, SixGun, except via Wakehurst Pkwy. Tacked on to the back of a bunch on Pittwater Rd which was doing the loop from Lane Cove. There are plenty of other cyclists already out there especially early, as you have no doubt noted, so you can usually find company at your pace on the road. Renegade Cycles in Lane Cove also runs group rides, as does BikeNorth, as has been previously mentioned here by MadameBike, below.

Hi all,

Just got a bike a few weeks back and have commuted a few times to work and am interested in riding with others either commuting during the week or weekends. I'm not that experienced but at least able to get in and out of cleats easily. Anyway, drop me a line if interested.

Samoa Tsunami Relief Ride
Come along and join the fun or sponsor a rider, it all helps.
Help us raise much needed funds for the victims of last year’s Tsunami.
All funds raised for this cause are directed back to the people of Samoa via ‘Let’s Help Samoa’ charity
This is a charity bicycle tour in Samoa April 10 2011 with a second ride in July 2011.

Time to ask those local candidates what they can do for you in cycle world.

Indeed, PTR. I just came home through Lane Cove and noticed a banner at the top of Birdwood Ave proclaiming "Want More Parking? Vote Liberal"

Well, at least that tells me who not to vote for, as if I would ever contemplate voting for such a shonky party.

It may be time for some guerilla refacing, e.g.: "Want More Traffic? Vote Liberal".
