Cate,
Thanks for that link to the knee rehabilitation article. I am going to set up my bike on the indoor trainer ready for rehabilitation as soon as possible after I get my new knees installed.

A section of this website about Knees generally has an article about cycling as therapy for knee issues

Lisa, That's okay. It looks like I have extensive domestic duties tomorrow morning anyway.

hello hartleymartin
sorry but i can't make it. my back has been giving me a bit of grief and needs attention & then pilates, the only time they can fit me in is friday morning, ie tomorrow morning, otherwise i have to wait a week.
sorry about that.
i think i will go on the bike sydney ride on sat afternoon in paddo that Gilbert is organising, called lazy8ride. hopefully a few of you are going too!
i had a nice meander this morning along cooks river & around the inner west with Bob Moore & another Lbugger. was definitely good therapy!
walking is much harder on my back and pelvis than riding!

I'd be interested in a weekend thing (work gets in the way for me otherwise).... but not this weekend as I'm out of town. Next weekend?

Lisa,
What time were you thinking of meeting up? Ride around and then end with lunch?
Lisa Comment by Lisa on August 18, 2009 at 3:05pm
i have friday off, anyone keen for a ride friday morning?
centennial park?
im pregnant, so not into going fast or doing uphill training, but happy to coast along if others want to do that kind of stuff.

When I started this group, I thought there would be a few rides. However, I am unable to ride at the moment as I await knee surgery (scheduled for 18th September). So if any other members want to organise a therapeutic group ride, that would be great. I possibly won't be riding until the new year - depending on how my rehabilitation goes.

So what happens around this neck of the woods then? Does either therapy or cycling happen? Or perhaps some kind of group therapy on 2 wheels...? :-)

your right Cate, that does sound better, long socks on a man isn't that good. especially for golf with shorts, not a good look.
although i noticed some men in the tweed ride had long socks with jodhpurs and it worked. the men looked great that day.
leather calf length boots sounds pretty good though

sorry Martin, hartleymartin has such a cool ring to it, i liked that name, sounds great.
