"Ride On" magazine's Feb/Mar edition had an article on "7 endurance road bikes - ridden and rated"....no surprise that there were no recumbents on the list. I wonder when the secret will be out about recumbent suitability for endurance and other forms of road riding.

You poor man! Why are you staying in Holroyd of all places?? Industrial and ugly!! Stay in the city or in a leafy green neighbourhood. If you like the bush and a meal and a sttep down and up hill road trip go to Bobbin Head Turramurra but be warned the route there is on the main roads and like most Aussie roads they are not the bike friendly so keep your wits about you and stay LEFT! GIVE WAY TO THE RIGHT. Most bike shops sell the WHERE TO RIDE Sydney Cycling map (Produced by Bicycling Australia, about $12 Aus) you may even be able to get it online. Regards, C My husband also loves to cycle galston gorge (busy however) but pretty if you like a steep hill. Homebush Olympic park is falt and easy and safe to ride but a fair few pedestrians share the bike paths. Ride safely, have fun!

I just bought another recumbent....cheap as chips trike from "Performer"(Taiwan)...looking forward to the first ride, it'll be my commuter.

To Adam, Ive only done 10 000 km riding to work in last year on my Performer Recumbent trike. I live in western Sydney and unfortunately its quite Hilly - which is not ideal for Trikes.! The best part of my Journey each day is along the Aquaduct Cycleway through Holroyd.

Its So Fun to Ride it. Cheers, Glenn.

Hi Glenn, I've ridden through there a bit over the years, nice spot. I've had the trike for a couple of months now and I love it. One of the best decisions I've made; riding to work is wonderfully relaxed and love doing wheelies at roundabouts. The trike handles pretty well and I've had no trouble going through any bollards or other obstacles. Happy days...

The Route to work is much longer using this Cycleway and the T80 Busway Cycleway, but it means I dont have many cars whizz by me - Im happy about that. [ less Pollution too ].

busway Cycleway looks like this ......
