Redeye - So how did you go? I got 5th in B grade, having sat in for the whole race I failed to deliver in the sprint.

There's heaps of photos from last night which give a good idea of the track

I got 5th too, but in A. First race in over a year so not too shabby - blew some cobwebs out anyway.

Is that Richard from Turramurra, its Alex, I ride for Bici. You're not wrong, heaps of photo's, where did you get those, there's no link on the peleton site is there?

Hi Aex - yes it's Richard. I remember you beating me a Beauie when we were both in C grade! Links are from the Peloton site from the guy who takes most of our photos.

photos looked great. I'll have to get sorted in the new year with buying my new bike and signing up with a club so I can start racing.

Hey I'm a road bike rider now :) Just got my Specialized Roubaix Elite. I'm in the Hills area. Anyone know of a group I could go riding with on the weekends?

find out what local clubs there are (Turramurra ought to be pretty local) they run rides out to Akuna bay / Mcarrs crk at the weekend. They seem to be getting bigger and bigger and split into various ability groups. Join a club and learn the ropes of group riding! Enjoy.

They are implying that a professional team uses that same spec bike. Some professional teams get bikes that are not available to the public at all. For instance 'Felt' make bikes of a much higher quality for Team Garmin Slipstream than they sell to the public. Some bikes that pros use are available to the public as 'team replicas', e.g. i think you can buy the same spec cannondale as Team Liquigas use.

This 'Team' label on bikes is true in these cases but a lot of cheaper bikes call themselves 'team' (which they are perfectly allowed to do) to leverage this idea. It's probably pretty meaningless in the context you are seeing it.

Hello all
Not sure if this is the right place but would appreciate some guidance.

I am new'ish to the area and I am looking to get my riding back to somewhere near the level it used to be. I am looking to join a smaller group around the Wahroonga area on a regular basis.

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Philip Johnston runs a very social group called the muggaccinos that do a lot of hilly rides. Message me and i can send you his email. Otherwise turramurra cyclery seems to have many bunches. There are also a lot of audax rides that start from waitara (more of a slow endurance long distance things).

Hi Mark,

Turramurra Cyclery run rides every Saturday and Sunday. ask in the shop for details or see the Peloton Sports web site.

You can also join me and many others any day for the commute into the city and back. 6:30 Fox Valley Road or 6:45 at Park Street Gordon and 6 pm for the south end of the Harbour Bridge for the journey home.
