I've got to say I am loving the fact that my iPhone can take a decent photo. It's great to have something with me at all times where I can grab a few photos that will be a good enough quality to…Continue

One of my favourite photography communities is photo.net, it takes a little searching but there are some amazing cycling shots

I am just a snapper too (mainly due to time). But my husband and daughter are really keen and quite good (IMO). Also, the guy I rode with (and camped next to) on the last 3 Great Vic Bike Rides teaches photography at a Photography College in Melbourne and he has some great pics - though not all bike-related. Are you only interested in bike pics Kylie - or all good photos?

Kylie, congratulations for starting an interesting group.

A simple yet brilliant idea for a group as we often see things that no others will see on their morning commute. The photo below was taken on the 11/06 at approx 6:15am looking northish toward the Iron Cove bridge (I think) from the shared path just west of UTS rowing club. The image has had no post process apart from resizing. The phone was a Nokia 5800. Details are in the EXIF header.

My philosophy on snapping is to take a thousand shots, and of these, there's usually a handful that I'd consider to be good. Must go on a course, except a lot is sheer luck, like getting these two guys crossing the intersection just when I was ready to shoot.

Here's one my husband took from North Head when we went on a sunset ride last year.

From Mears Avenue

... past Randwick Lodge

then into Pereouse Street. I do love where I grew up and went to school.

I do miss being in the Big Smoke.

I put photos on Picasa under the user name fractalbug. Have some of Callan Park there and around the harbour, and photos from LBUG rides and tours. Also have some on flickr e.g. these ones of Callan Park, which has lots of interesting buildings and trees.
