Good ride today and turn out for the first official ride of the new Sydn Uni Velo club. Look forward to the regular Wednesday morning rides and joining the club shortly as a member.

Training Wednesday morning, all welcome for a test run to see how we do business at SU Velo. If you're interested, meet at the Woollahra gates at Centennial Park, ready to leave by 6am. Send me an email at secretary AT suvelo.com.au for more information!

Hi Kylie,

I still only know you as a one-eyed wonder (nice photo :-), but now I see that you work/study at USyd as well?! (Likewise: in Edward Ford.)

Coming from the inner west, I'm afraid 6am at Centennial Park is too early and in the wrong direction... but I hope you have a good one, and that there'll be rides at other times/to other places sometime soon!

Cheers,
Michelle

Hi all - I am a staff member at USYD and would love to ride with you guys (if you have a slow group!!!). Hopefully will join you all soon,
Kate

Hi Michelle. I'm not actually a student/staff member myself, the club is open to anyone who wants to join. I won't mention that I'm coming in from as far as Abbotsford ;-) Hopefully I can drag you out of bed one day!

Kate, thanks for dropping by! Send me an email when you are ready and we can get you into the training rides. Wednesdays are in the park so there is no chance of being dropped if you're worried about pace. Catch you soon.

Awesome, I'll be there in the morning!

Ok so the plan tomorrow morning is to do a one lap time trial, in order to establish a baseline for future training. The guys who are looking to race will be able to use this for grading, but for everyone else it's just something to measure yourself against later.

Bec, I've just forwarded you the plan from Barry. Might not hurt for you to get there a few minutes earlier just to introduce yourself to Baz...and me :-)

I've never done a time trial....
Now I am scared- is that going as fast as possible for one lap!?

forwarded to my email address?

Yep, to your gmail, just sent it. It's going as fast as possible, sustainably possible, for one lap (in this case). Don't be scared, it's the least scary thing because you're only riding against/with yourself!

Kylie, are you going to run any other laps apart from this one? As I work at Macquarie everyday of the week.
