See your other thread on the subject of Morgan bicycles for a long winded post & a couple of pictures.

Bikecology Parramatta (the old Universal Cycles store) are selling off a bit of NOS including:

- A 1973-ish Peuget 3 speed

- 1950s Royal leather saddle:

- White wall tyres

I bought this "new" 1980-ish Malvern Star Sprint 12 yesterday:

It might be worth a drive out there to see what they have. Also, keep an eye on their Ebay store to see what comes up.

I got Bikecology's black leather saddle (it's actually "Roland" brand) and a Suntour GT rear derailleur off them. The Suntour GT and the V-GT Luxe rear derailleurs tend to be harder to come by. People who own and use them don't want to let them go in a hurry.

Suntour?
Its an unwritten rule. Never ever let anything branded "Suntour" be sold, traded or swapped.
( Indeed. Bikecology is a great shop for all those old hard to find bits. Best talked about in whispers me thinks)

I was born a rule breaker, so won't hesitate to announce I have a bit of Suntour kit to sell trade or swap.
Will have to check the shed first to see exactly what is left after my son's fixie-building period.

Michael - Let me know what Suntour stuff you have for sale. I need a few Suntour bits.

hartleymartin,
like to join your group and believe that atop my Pedersen I will satisfy the bike requirement. Since Sturmey-Archer copied Pedersen's unpatented hub gear I will also assume a Rohloff hub gear will not exclude me. See you for coffee on the 29th.

Matt,

I seem to remember a Pedersen at the Sydney Tweed Ride - was that you? I'm pretty sure that you bicycle falls into the category of "custom build or rebuild in the style and spirit of pre-1987 bicycles"

Darn - I've just realised that in the requirements it should actually read:

Aero Levers frowned upon, non-aero levers encouraged.
