Grace riding over the bridge for the first time

We rode in this morning to watch my dad march.
Beautiful and sunny, but very windy. Both girls nearly got blown right off their bikes on Kent St.

Many other cyclists crossing the bridge?

I was amazed at the numbers in KCNP and riding to West Head.

There were heaps coming down from the Pac Hway into LC when we were leaving, heaps down at Milsons Pt and going over the bridge and plenty circulating around town.

Certainly looked like they were taking advantage of the quiet roads.

When we got into town at around 10am we chained the bikes up at Barrack St near Wynyard and though there were no other bikes there I thought we'd be OK. When we came back every pole had bikes on it!

Probably as a result of the huge VMSs that hang over so many main roads warning about CBD road closures. "Use public transport" they say. The horror, the horror...

They really should say "Cycle instead."

Did you cycle all the way or get a train to MP?

They managed to cycle all the way there, then we followed my dad all over until he marched, then we walked back to the bikes. It was so windy they chickened out on the ride home and we trained back to Artarmon.

A fine choice of station, I have to say.

Getting 3 bikes down the stairs with a gammy leg was a PITA.

Easy after that though.
