Daughter on back of my bike - she loves it

Yes, but I see the safety issue here. WHAT IF she jammed her feet between frame and spokes? I dont c any protection here?

Yes - I don't recommend this. But I do find it a bit sad though, that when I was a kid this would have been acceptable, and in a less developed country it would also be acceptable. Its sort of like the wearing a helmet issue.

It may be that what classify circumstances acceptable or not, is how one handle them.
I noticed the bike (fearly loaded) is going down the hill (momentum). The spokes are indicating that with considerable speed. If the same bike would go on a flat & spokes are clearly visible in that frame, it may be perfectly acceptable(?) We don't c the face of the rider to pick up on the emotion but then it would b a different pic all together to comment on. Safe cycling

Hi, my wifes riding the bike, I'll guarantee you its very slow. Also its not down hill, my cameras just on an angle. Actually, probably the most dangerous aspects of the photo is me taking the photo. Im also riding, one handed, with camera in other hand.

This is better for the kids. (sorry - no helmets)

Hey Alex, I take your guarantee & accept your explanation. All is good in the hood, man. I just convey my feelings when viewing your pic and safety came up. But of course visuals may be deceptive.

Anyhow there is one interesting aspect. After your explanation I noticed that spokes at the bottom are blurry but at the top are visible(?) The wheel turns with the same speed thou(?)

Im no photography expert but I think that the top spokes are visible mainly due to the background, black and white rather than the grey of the road

Oh - also in this picture when I took it - I'm moving whilst taking it so the only thing moving in the picture as far as the camera knows is the wheels.
