Head out to the real west for a ride on the mythical M7 road to paradise. Train from Central at 821 am arr Seven Hills at 902 am. 44 km to Liverpool . Stop for a vanilla slice in Rooty Hill. Lunch at Liverpool. Train back or ride, on the Ptta Rail Trail and M4 route.

- About Me:
- 11 Years experience working full time in congested traffic on a bicycle (messenger). Trying to start a career working in road safety but i want to keep it from a bike messengers point of view. I think the same rules for Motor Vehicles should not exist for cyclists. We deserve to be put in our own seperate cattegory of road rules and exemptions. Getting out the way of Motorvehicles should not be illegal.
Instead of bossing people around I'd rather talk about what i do and why i do something then hope whoever is interested will have enough respect to listen and possibly learn something. I don't talk about something unless i know what i'm talking about. If i'm not sure about something i ask questions.
My pet hate is people who have limited knowledge on a subject but still happen to form a strong opinion. You can't learn something if you already know everything.

"Bloody cyclists" elevator conversation.

Got into a packed lift today and one of my clients started having a dig at me.
"Bloody Couriers they take up so much space" (he was referring to my bag)
Then another client joined in sarcastically about cyclists taking up space on the road.
Agreeing with them worked really well.
" Yes and we park our bloody bikes on the road also... Why shouldn't we block two lanes of traffic just to park our bicycles?"
"And why don't cyclists like me pay to use our… Continue

A busy week on the road thanks to the end of the financial year.
Relatively incident free...
Except for two occasions.
1. A ute driving P plater picking up a trailer from 55market (The lights from the opening of the Bruno movie).
Pretty sure its illegal to carry a trailer while on your P's but thats not the problem... The problem is he didn't look when he ran onto the road to open his car door.
The response to my "Watch out!" was "Get… Continue

Pretty much guaranteed that this guy is not a cyclist.
When i'm riding down York street and people start j-walking in front of me.....
If i'm nice enough to give way to your child and suggest that you teach him how to cross a road.... Don't tell me to get fucked.
