"Some months ago I had the exact same thought, and found that thread, and gashed my teeth in frustration. So many people wanting the same thing. But google says "no". It seems like a logical enough extension of the existing functionality."

Frankv replied to Michael O'Reilly's discussion Best bidon cage?
"I have used the Cateye plastic cages. They are virtually indestructable but eventually don't grip the bottle as tightly. More recently I have used Velocity plastic cages. They have a vice-like grip on the bottle and some bottles are too tight…"

Frankv replied to Rob Berry's discussion Mount Victoria to Lithgow Route Advice
"Hartley Vale Rd from Darling Causeway or Browns Gap Rd from the highway at Hartley, would be the best options in my opinion. The dirt on Hartley Vale Rd would be no trouble on 32mm tyres."

Frankv replied to PeterT's discussion Rim wear... how long is a piece of string ?
"This is a "how long is a piece of string" sort of question. I have replaced rims due to sidewall wear. On a mountain bike this was less than 10,000 km. Wet weather is considered worse - it certainly sounds worse - due to extra grit on the…"

Frankv replied to Robert Harris's discussion A Third of Drivers Can't See Properly?

Frankv replied to Sam Daykin's discussion Car Parked in the Cycle Way. And a disappointing police response.
"Not true in my experience.   Had an incident with hoons unloading a quad bike from a ute and riding in the National Park. Reported it to police who could not attend promptly. When an office came, I showed him photos. Not only did he issue a…"

Martin Geliot replied to Frankv's discussion Can cyclists be banned from public roads?
"I can only suggest referring to the Australian Road Rules, which you can download. AFAIK if the sign isn't one of the ones therein, or isn't applied iaw the ARR, then it isn't compulsory. Same goes for paint.     I…"

"For people who don't frequent SC, and don't make a habit of ingesting the finer details of the law, how are you supposed to know the difference between an advisory sign, and something that has legislative backing?"

Martin Geliot replied to Frankv's discussion Can cyclists be banned from public roads?
"To me "CYCLISTS DISMOUNT USE FOOTPATH" means "cyclists remove this sign and use it to adorn your nearby illegal tracks".   It means something to someone else as well, evidence not very far away at all ;-)"

MadameBike replied to Frankv's discussion Can cyclists be banned from public roads?
"Yes it doesn't mean "dismount and then remount to ride on the footpath".  It means "dismount and walk on the footpath, wheeling your bike" as Alf says - stuff your cleats.  :-("

Alf Torrisi replied to Frankv's discussion Can cyclists be banned from public roads?
"If the sign says "CYCISTS DISMOUNT USE FOOTPATH"   it probably means "GET OFF YOUR BIKE AND WALK,  WE DONT KNOW OR CARE ABOUT YOUR CLEATS, JUST GET OF THE ROAD""
