"If you cannot find its true owner, your best bet is to take it to the police. If the owner does not turn up (which seems likely now) you can rightfully keep it."

I found a Trek SL1000 abandoned in the bike racks at my work.  Its been there for 3 months without moving, not locked, tyres flat, no-one's responded to my email or my sign.  Has anyone had one stolen in December/January?  I'd love to return it to the rightful owner but otherwise have a friend whose bike was stolen last year who could use a new one. If anyone thinks it might be theirs and can reasonably identify it I will gladly return.  See More
