Heavy vehicles question

I ride up North rocks Rd and back everyday as part of my commute. This is designated as the M2 detour and as such as a higher than normal proportion of cyclists for a road this busy in this part of town. If it wasn't for the cars parked and the subsequent door zone filling the entire left shoulder it would be an awesome road to ride on but that is not the case.I noticed that the road between Barclay Rd and Church St has a vehicle limit of 8T. as seen in the google street view pictures linked.…See More

I have a raleigh m800 XC hardtail mountain bike. I used to do a bit of off road riding but now i mostly commute on it. Its got a child seat on the back for transporting a toddler (the seat doubles as a rack for gear when i'm on my own). Its not the most efficient way of getting around but it does the job.
About Me:
Started to commute once a week in 2011 when my wife went back to work and needed the car to take our two kids to swimming lessons once a week. Over time the frequency of my commuting has increased. I work all over Sydney so have had the pleasure of riding to Manly, Hornsby, Rouse Hill, Prospect, Parramatta, Kensington and a number of other places in between. Recently my efforts have inspired my wife to ride to work one day a week, She takes a motor bike the other days
