"The Police can enforce it. I would contact them and I would also contact the local Council's traffic section as the traffic committee will have all of the relevant reps (RMS, Traffic Police and COuncil staff) to purue this.

"That's what the road rules say (103)
(1) A driver must not drive past a bridge load limit (gross mass) sign or gross load limit sign if the total of the gross mass (in tonnes) of the driver’s vehicle, and any vehicle connected to it, is…"
I ride up North rocks Rd and back everyday as part of my commute. This is designated as the M2 detour and as such as a higher than normal proportion of cyclists for a road this busy in this part of town. If it wasn't for the cars parked and the subsequent door zone filling the entire left shoulder it would be an awesome road to ride on but that is not the case.I noticed that the road between Barclay Rd and Church St has a vehicle limit of 8T. as seen in the google street view pictures linked.…See More
"I bought a Focus Planet TR 2.0 in august last year and have been commuting on it since. It has the Gates Carbon belt drive and Shimano Alfine 8spd hub. I test rode one from my LBS and the smooth silent ride was so alluring I new I had to…"
"like Dan I have a flat 10 k ride home today so will be fine... especially when I can jump inthe pool as soon as i get there. Certainly wouldn't want to be doing my 27k commute, that starts with the the climb up…"
"Last year I set the goal that I would commute to and from work 100 days. I completed it, quite aptly I think, on ride to work day, 17th of October. This means that I reduced my single occupant vehicle trips very significantly. My car did…"
"I went to a seminar a few months back and they presented some data for a section of victoria rd then to the anzac bridge, a short stretch of road, about 3km IIRC. During school holidays there is a 4% decrease in cars on that road during…"
"I was riding 700c 35mm, slicks at 95psi. The ride was a little harsh for my liking on the rough bits, most of the road surfaces were very good, especially when we took the entire left lane. I normally commute with my tyres at 70 or so but felt on…"
""Hugely impressed with the guy on a flat-bar road commuter, not clipped in but who rode with us the whole way."
That was me...i didn't think it was that impressive for a few reasons
1. I never went on the front and spent most of the…"
a lot of fun, a good crowd,
somehow managed to find myself in the bunch on the front. A combination of bludging on the back of the group and only 3 short breaks (while they seemed to have more frequent stops and hang around a bit…"
I have a raleigh m800 XC hardtail mountain bike. I used to do a bit of off road riding but now i mostly commute on it. Its got a child seat on the back for transporting a toddler (the seat doubles as a rack for gear when i'm on my own). Its not the most efficient way of getting around but it does the job.
Started to commute once a week in 2011 when my wife went back to work and needed the car to take our two kids to swimming lessons once a week. Over time the frequency of my commuting has increased. I work all over Sydney so have had the pleasure of riding to Manly, Hornsby, Rouse Hill, Prospect, Parramatta, Kensington and a number of other places in between. Recently my efforts have inspired my wife to ride to work one day a week, She takes a motor bike the other days
